Mother's
Day Craft Ideas
Handprint Poem
Cover your hands
with non toxic paint and press onto a piece of
paper.
Copy this poem onto the paper.
Hand Prints
Sometimes
you get discouraged
because I am so small
and always leave my finger prints
on furniture and walls
But every day I'm
growing
I'll be grown someday
and all those tiny hand prints
will surely fade away
So here's a little
hand print
just so you can recall
exactly how my fingers looked
when I was very small
Mother's Day Cards
Gather together
crayons, markers, colored pencils, glitter,
glue, lace, yarn, tissue paper, stickers,
etc. Decorate a personal card for Mom and
tell her how very much you love her! Be
creative. You could cut your card into
shapes: hearts, flowers etc.
Mother's Day Flower
Pot
Decorate a small
clay pot using sponges and non-toxic paints.
Sponges can be cut into heart shapes or
flowers. Place inside the pot some packs of
flower seeds.
A Book of Kisses
This one is
really simple! Staple together sheets of
paper into a little booklet. Write "A
Book of Kisses" on the cover. Put red
lipstick on and kiss each and everypage of
the booklet. Write a note telling Mom that
she can redeem each kiss coupon for a real
kiss from YOU!
Stained Glass Candle
Gather together
small votive candles, scissors, a paintbrush,
glue, water, small baby food jars and tissue
paper.
Cute the tissue
paper into small pieces. Mix water and glue
and then paint the jar and place the tissue
paper on. When this has dried, paint over the
tissue paper with the same mix. Put a votive
candle inside. Use pretty spring tissue
colors to create a cheerful candle.
Goody Cups
Decorate a
spring colored plastic cup using colored
markers and stickers. Write Happy Mother's
Day on your cup. Fill with small gifts for
Mom - candy, gum, pens, notepads etc.
